CANANDAIGUA – The Medical Director for the Hawks Emergency Department at F.F. Thompson Hospital was recently named Thompson Health’s Vice President of Medical Affairs for Emergency Medicine and Physician Practices.
In his new role, Dr. Anthony Geraci is responsible not only for the 24-bed Emergency Department but also for Thompson’s five family practices in Ontario and Livingston counties, the Thompson Health Urgent Care Center in Farmington, the HealthWorks occupational medicine program and The Thompson Clinic, which serves the uninsured and underinsured in the community.
Geraci first joined Thompson in 1996 as an emergency physician and family physician. After spending two years as Associate Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he returned to Thompson in 2004, becoming Medical Director of the Emergency Department in 2005.
Geraci lives in Canandaigua and is currently enrolled in a Master’s of Healthcare Administration program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.
