A new Surgical Care Center at F.F. Thompson Hospital will open on Monday, March 19, in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing, located on the main Thompson Health campus at 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua. 

The Surgical Care Center was expanded as part of Project Excel, Thompson’s $43.5 million expansion and renovation initiative, and includes:

·         18 pre- and post-surgical bays, including three pediatric bays with doors.

• Six new surgical suites, offering 3,600 square feet of cumulative space and featuring state-of-the-art technology from Stryker Integrated Solutions.
• A post anesthesia care unit with state-of-the-art monitoring systems and nine patient bays.

The Surgical Care Center will also include a new endoscopy suite by December 2012.
