Cruisin’ Car Show Classic Cruisers Pay Tribute to a Friend and Help Raise Over $1,000

The Dresden Fire Department and the Central New York  Classic Cruisers Car Club partnered to host a car show on Saturday, June 18 in the town of Dresden to benefit the Wilmot Cancer Institute's Sands Cancer Center at Thompson Health and the Dresden Fire Department.   “Anything with wheels” – cars, trucks, motorcycles, fire trucks and more – was represented at the show.

Bill Hall, organizer and Village of Dresden Mayor said, “We had a good turnout. Everything went off without a hitch.  We are especially grateful for the generous donations of those who came to the show.  We consider this event to have been a great success.”

The money raised will help Sands Cancer Center patients at Thompson Health with the unexpected costs of a long illness, providing for necessities including groceries, gas cards, utility bills, and specialized medical needs.

Next year’s event is in the planning stages with more news to follow soon.  For more information on the 2017 event, contact Jeff Fox at 315-871-8656.
