Speech Language Pathologists provide comprehensive evaluations and treatments for communication disorders of speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Speech Pathologists educate patients, families and caregivers in regard to communication and swallowing disorders.

They advise individuals and the community on ways to treat speech/language disorders. They also provide:
    • Swallowing evaluation and treatment
      - Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES)
      - Modified barium swallow study (MBS)
    • Speech/language evaluation and treatment
      - Expressive/receptive language disorders (aphasia)
      - Voice disorders including Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT)
      - Augmentative and alternative communication
      - Fluency/stuttering/accent modification
      - Dysarthria
    • Cognitive evaluation and treatment
      - Traumatic brain injury
      - Stroke
      - Neurological disorders
