Thompson Health has the only sleep disorders center in the Finger Lakes accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), which means our patients receive the highest quality diagnostic services available. Unlike non-accredited facilities, data collected during every study is reviewed and evaluated by a board certified Sleep Medicine Specialist who has undergone 12 years of medical studies and is highly trained to pick up signs of a sleep disorder. With a focus on employing and training the most highly qualified sleep professionals, the Thompson Health Sleep Disorders Center also has the highest percentage of registered technicians in the entire Rochester region. Patients will benefit from their expertise.

Patient Comfort in Mind
For the comfort and convenience of our patients, furnishings are like those found in an upscale hotel, right down to the view of Canandaigua Lake and continental breakfast which can be enjoyed in the Patient Education Lounge. Suites are more spacious than those in other centers, with each one topping 235 square feet. Bariatric equipment is available and one of the four rooms features an additional bed for those who are more comfortable with a guest to stay the night with them.

How to Become a Patient of the Sleep Disorders Center
One way to become a patient is through a referral by your primary care physician for an initial consult with one of our sleep physicians. The other way is through referral by a specialist -- such as a pulmonologist, neurologist or cardiologist -- for a sleep study. Self-referral is available with some types of insurance. Check with your insurance provider first.
