3rd Annual Challenges in Healthcare: Resilience

The overall purpose of this program is to enable participants to integrate care and communication strategies into everyday practice to address complex needs of patients. Community agencies and resources will also be present.


  • Sayeh Rivazfar (Keynote), NY State Police Investigator – Will speak about her personal life experiences with trauma and how she has been resilient.
  • Kaitlyn McWilliams – Will discuss ACE, Adverse Childhood Experiences.
  • Mae Fox – Will present ideas for Caregiver Resilience

~ A panel discussion and small group discussions will follow ~



  • An application for 6 social work continuing education hours will be submitted to the URMC Center for Experiential Learning.
  • An application for 6 nursing contact hours will be submitted to the URMC Center for Experiential Learning.
  • Participants must be in attendance for the entire day in order to receive education credits. No exceptions.

Cost: $85, includes lunch and refreshments
