Treatment Strategies for Patients with Neurological Deficts
An evidence-based approach for choosing easily incorporated treatment strategies Improve function for patients with CVA, TBI, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neurological deficits. Therapy interventions will be reviewed and practiced, stressing the importance of neuroplasticity and the supporting evidence. Additional research identifying key motor learning strategies will be reviewed and video for movement analysis, improving assessment skills and an interactive lab will be featured. Key functional activities will be reviewed to improve balance, upper extremity use, and gait.
The University of Rochester Medical Center is a department-approved provider for CEU credits through the NYS Office of the Professions. This course will entitle the attendee to 9 contact hours or 0.9 CEUs.
