2016 Tournament Raised Nearly $60K for New CT Scanner The 2nd Annual Thompson Health Golf Classic, held on June 6, 2016 at Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Victor, netted nearly $60K to support the purchase of a new 64-slice CT scanner for the Diagnostic Imaging Department at UR Medicine’s Thompson Hospital.
This state-of-the-art equipment uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images or slices of the bone, blood vessels and soft tissue inside the body. Not only does the CT scanner help with diagnosing and treatment of all types of injuries and disorders, but it is the most efficient way to diagnose a stroke.
“Once again, we are thrilled with the incredible amount of support this event generated,” said Anita Pietropaolo, director of the F.F. Thompson Foundation, Inc. “Our guests really enjoyed the format, pace of play and Cobblestone’s links-style course, service and amenities. The beautiful weather was a bonus – making it a perfect day.”
