UR Medicine’s Thompson Health is featured in the 2022 edition of the "Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare” list published by Becker's Hospital Review.
This is the fifth year for Thompson to be included on the list, which also includes nationally-known health systems such as the Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic. This year, Thompson is one of eight healthcare organizations in New York State to be featured, but one of only three in upstate or central New York, URMC and Highland Hospital - also an affiliate of UR Medicine round out the three upstate hospitals.
Organizations submitting nominations were considered, as were organizations that have received national, state or local recognition previously earned for workplace excellence, benefits offerings, wellness initiatives, efforts to improve professional development, diversity/inclusion, work-life balance and a sense of community among employees.
“Especially in this highly competitive job market, inclusion on this list is very exciting to Thompson Health because it lets people in our region know we work hard to empower our associates, helping them thrive both professionally and personally,” said Thompson Health Vice President of Associate Services and Wellness Jennifer DeVault. Organizations cannot pay for inclusion on Becker’s list, which includes U.S. hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgical centers and home health agencies, as well as other types of healthcare-specific companies, including consulting firms, health IT vendors and medical societies.
