Rewarding Associates’ for Living the Thompson Values
Shining Star Award
We designed the Shining Star award, which began in 2000, to be by and for our Associates. Receiving a Shining Star award is especially meaningful because nominations come from the winners’ fellow Associates, and the winners are selected by a group of Associates who represent every part of the health system. The results from all of the judges are compiled, and the top 34 people - or 2% of the Associate population - are chosen as Shining Stars. An award ceremony is held annually and the families of those Associates who receive an award are invited to attend the ceremony.
Cheer for a Peer
An Associate has been recognized by a fellow Associate for doing something special or went out of their way to do something for an internal or external customer. Their actions displayed our CARES values (Commitment, Action, Respect, Excellence, Service).
RANSAC
A department has gone above and beyond their call of duty and are being recognized by a fellow Associate or department. A large group of Associates acknowledges their actions by presenting the recipients with a song, RANSAC certificate and a very special gift.
Years of Service Awards
Associates are recognized for their years of service at Thompson Health beginning with five years and in increments of five years thereafter. The Associate and a guest are invited to attend the Service Award ceremony, which is held annually.
