Letter from the CEO

It seems the pace never lets up within Thompson Health and there is always plenty of news for our community to know. This spring has been no exception, and we are excited to share several articles in this latest issue of our magazine, Partners in Health and Wellness. 

As you’ll read in our center spread about the variety of services Thompson offers in Farmington, which is one of the fastest growing towns in the state. We recently welcomed a new nurse practitioner to one of our locations there, and she is just the latest Thompson addition to Farmington, where the town supervisor tells us even more new housing developments are in the works. 

We touch upon future plans in this issue of Partners, too, including an expansion of our Birthing Center and a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner for our hospital. 

As you’ll read on the back cover, Thompson is also gearing up to launch the BEE Award, giving patients an opportunity to single out patient care technicians (PCTs) and other non-nursing healthcare associates in our hospital. On page 3, one of our PCTs shares how our Healthcare Education Fund is helping her achieve her dream of becoming a nurse!
