F.F. Thompson Hospital Visiting Hours
For general medical/surgical units 11:00am to 8:30pm daily.
All other units have different hours and you will need to check with the nursing staff on that unit. We ask that only two people visit at any one time. Children less than 14 years old are not allowed unless permission is received in advance by the nursing unit manager or designee.
Birthing Center Visiting Hours: 11am - 8:30 pm. Visitors need to check with the nursing staff about limitations. Please check to The Birthing Center page for details
Family may be able to spend the night only if their loved one is in a private room. This is disruptive to the care and privacy of the other patient. Please refrain from visiting if you are ill or feel you are coming down with something.
We encourage you to call the unit to inquire about your loved one, but ask that inquiries are restricted to one spokesperson. We also ask that calls be avoided between 7:00-8:00 am and 3:00-4:00 pm so that the information can be communicated by the appropriate nurse or staff member after shift change.
If you do not speak English, or if you are visually and/or hearing-impaired, interpretation services can be provided for you at no charge. Tell the person helping you that you need an interpreter.
For Our Hearing-Impaired Patients
If you are hearing-impaired, please tell us. We need to know the best ways to communicate with you. Tell us if you wear hearing aids or need any assisted listening devices.
There is a public phone between the Emergency Department and Diagnostic Imaging Department waiting areas. There is a brown courtesy telephone that will allow you to make local calls free of charge at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby (please limit calls to 2 minutes).
