Wound Care Specialists

Our wound care treatment team includes a board-certified general surgeon, a wound-care certified nurse, and a wound care certified physical therapist – all with advanced training in the assessment and treatment of wounds.

Customized Care

A wound evaluation includes a comprehensive physical examination and review of the patient’s medical history.  A consult with our staff surgeon and diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood tests, and vascular studies may be ordered as part of the patient’s personalized treatment plan.  The team uses evidence-based clinical practice and state-of-art technologies including specialized wound dressings, debridement, pulse lavage treatments, modalities to aid in the healing process, and edema management.
We work with the patient and his or her referring physician to coordinate and develop the best course of treatment.  Education on wound care and caregiver training for in the home are provided as well.
