Classes include two sessions, and are facilitated by a Registered Dietitian and a RN Certified Diabetes Educator. Choose from two 3-hour sessions on two seperate days (two seperate co-pays) OR one 6-hour Saturday session (one con=pay and free lunch)
SESSION 1 TOPICS:
- What is Diabetes?
- Learning to Live with Diabetes.
- Monitoring and Managing Diabetes.
SESSION 2 TOPICS:
- The Basics of Eating, Stress and Coping, and Physical Activity.
- All about Insulin, Medications, Personal Health Habits, and Long Term Complications
